David Russell, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
David Russell is a psychiatric nurse practitioner. He has experience in treating various mental health conditions in the outpatient setting. He has worked as a nurse practitioner at Saint Joseph's Behavioral Health Center in Stockton, Merced County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, and two assertive community treatment teams in Placer County & San Joaquin County.
David has been a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2020. He earned his Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Cincinnati. Before that, he graduated from University of San Francisco School of Nursing.
David is supervised and works with Dr. Michael Smith, psychiatrist.

David was born and raised in California.
He is a veteran and continues to serve in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoys playing with his German Shepard & Border Collie.
Dr. Michael Smith, Psychiatrist
Dr. Smith is a physician with board certification in psychiatry. He graduated from Chicago Medical School in 1988. He has experience in diagnosing and treating various mental health problems. Dr. Smith has experience treating acute mental health conditions in the inpatient setting at Saint Joseph's Behavioral Health Center in Stockton. He provides unique perspectives and therapy in the outpatient setting.
Dr. Smith supervises and works with NP David Russell.
